[The amount of drinking he can do in an hour is, in general, pretty impressive, but he'd been at least trying to be moderate. Ish. It's a bad night--wherein bad is him drinking and people probably needing to take weapons away.

But that does tend to make others safer, given the brooding and self-loathing are his main focus.
